Berjaya Land Bhd expects to sell over RM300 million worth of properties in its financial year ending April 30, 2009, its chief executive officer Datuk Francis Ng Sooi Lin said.

He said the company, which inked a RM150 million deal with Hanju Savanna (M) Sdn Bhd today, has already sold close to RM200 million worth of properties, and it would be launching three new development projects soon.

Ng said the company was confident of achieving its target with the projects in line, namely Berjaya Park in Shah Alam, Taman Semutih high-end bungalows and a condominium in Bukit Jalil.

Deputy Housing and Local Government Minister, Datuk Robert Lau Hoi Chew witnessed the signing of the agreement between Berjaya Land and Hanju Savanna here today.

On its overseas projects, Ng said the company has received the licenses to commerce four development projects in Vietnam worth over US$2 billion.

Ng said the company has commenced on a property in Thac Ban City, Hanoi but for the others -- the Vietnam Financial Centre, Dong Lai mixed development and an university township -- construction had yet to start.

He said that despite the ongoing economic slowdown, property development prospects remained good in Vietnam with its large population.
