In a statement on Dec 21, BToto said the redesignation of Yeong Ching, 32, from executive director to CEO and the resignation of his father as the CEO took immediate effect.

It said Vincent Tan would remain as the managing director and CEO of Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd, its principal subsidiary.

Meanwhile, Berjaya Land Bhd also announced the redesignation of Yeong Ching from CEO to director and the redesignation of Datuk Ng Sooi Lin as CEO from executive director.

Yeong Ching joined Berjaya Group Bhd as an executive in 1995 and was appointed general manager of corporate affairs in 1997 and subsequently as an executive director on Feb 21, 1998.

He is currently also the chairman of MOL.com Bhd and executive director of Sports Toto Malaysia.
