30 get scholarships from Berjaya Group
BERJAYA Group of companies recently presented 30 scholarships to Khoi Viet Vocational School of Tourism and Hospitality in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The scholarships are extended to deserving students to study at Berjaya University College of Hospitality (Berjaya UCH) in Kuala Lumpur.
These scholarships were offered under the sponsorship of Berjaya Cares Foundation, a non-profit charitable organisation established by Berjaya Group to undertake initiatives for the benefit of the community.

"Our extensive collaborative relationship with Khoi Viet is a testimony of Berjaya Group of companies’ long-term commitment and our confidence in the development and prosperity of Vietnam," said Berjaya Group chairman and CEO Tan Sri Vincent Tan.
"We are conscious of our obligation to society and hence, the foundation arranged for these scholarships for deserving students from Vietnam to have the opportunity to be better equipped to handle the expectations of today’s competitive marketplace" he added.
The scholarships are for programmes offered by Berjaya UCH such as Diploma in Culinary Arts; Diploma in Hospitality Management; Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management; Bachelor of Hospitality Management (Honours); Bachelor of Tourism Management (Honours).
The scholarship includes the general costs and tuition fees. Berjaya UHC officially opened its doors to its inaugural intake of students in January 2009.
The university college offers programmes related to hospitality, tourism, and services management from foundation to postgraduate levels through the School of Culinary Arts, School of Hospitality Management, School of Tourism, Arts and Culture Management and School of Services Management.
